Veronica Lodge Equal Time

i've always thought veronica reminded me of betty page (ironic that her rival is called betty), esp in that page scan for "cover story". betty page recently passed away, which was a surprise reading that she was penniless.
Say, you're right, Ronnie DOES kind of have that Bettie Page look in those pics!

And with Bettie Page, I thought it was cool that Dave Stevens, who was a huge fan of hers (and boosted interest in her via his pin ups and THE ROCKETEER), became her friend in her later years, even taking her down to cash her pension checks!
i've never really found archie handsome @_@
Heh Heh...

Somebody online said that if Archie Andrews was a real human being, he'd resemble Conan O'Brien! Ahahahahaha!
that is actually quite possible o_o
Dang, that's dead on! I wonder if Conan ever did something like that on the show.

I remember LONG ago (80s?) they did a one-shot live action "Archie" movie on network TV, possibly ABC. Wouldn't make any sense to do it today but it's sure fun to cast the roles from era to era (Archie comics must be 50+ years and counting by now).

I remember that one, as I recall, it was really disappointing- they were all grown up, I think Gary Kroeger from Saturday Night Live played Reggie, who was a lawyer.

Oh, and Archie's actually more like 68 years old! Yep, his first appearance in PEP comics, along with Betty and Jughead, was 1941!

The gang looks SOOOOOOOOO Different here!

[this is good]
Thanks so much for this post! I have been struggling to find out who the artist was for the 'slicker' versions of Archie. I prefer these versions best...well I guess Stans are great too...anyway check my link one of my older posts of an Archie Comic illustrated by Harry Lucey: http://comix365.blogspot.com/2009/03/archie.html
Glad to see another Harry Lucey fan! I checked out the King Blogzilla site- what an interesting place! And yep, "the Dream Place" was a GREAT Harry Lucey story, love those Betty pics(esp. that panel where she 's saying "Oh Please...Not THAT again!") Ahahahaha!!
